A: At this time we have reps from most major Ontario Colleges, however, if your campus is not yet represented, contact us about how you can get involved. Overall, we expect a large turnout at all colleges in Ontario and encourage colleges and universities from other areas to post a "MY ASS IS IN CLASS! selfie and post it on social media with the hashtag #asstoclass
Q: I can't make it to my rally, how can I show my support?
A: You can take share a "My Ass Is In Class Nov. 16th" selfie on social media, share and spread the word or get your voice heard on our live twitter and facebook page feeds.
Q: What can we expect the day of the rally?
A: Although we are currently looking into getting food services running and entertainment from student associations, at this point expect for now that it is a "sit in" style show of voice. We want to get everyone engaged though their social media by sharing "My Ass Is In Class" selfies and sharing their strike story on our live feeds. We will also be press present giving student interviews.
Q: If we lose the semester, what is the movements plan to help students?
A: We will continue to fight for compensation to those who incur unnecessary additional debt due to the strike as well as refunds or deferrals. We are all in this together!
Q: I'm not a student, can I attend to show support? or Can we bring friends/ family?
A: Abso-freaking-lutely! We need your help now more than ever! Moms, Dads come embarrass your kid in front of their classmates! besides, if we fail, jr. is coming back home early ;)
Q: How is #asstoclass different than other rallys or protests?
A: Simple! we are a collaborative team of students from nearly every campus across Ontario, who utilize their field of study, including: Journalism, Social Work, Law and more to make sure we are unified with a solid plan to get you your year back with the necessary accommodations and assistance you need to succeed! We are neutral and we offer an organized solution that both sides should find fair. -- Ya we're kinda awesome but so are you!
